Our story

QarmaTek™ Services Pvt. Ltd. was started in September 2011 by two technocrats who identified a huge gap in the organized repair market. They assumed the role of an after sales support partner for repairs and refurbishment for major electronic appliances and mobile phone brands.

But one fine day…

The Indian ecommerce industry exploded- the number of Indians buying phones and electronic appliances online increased dramatically. International players started vying for a share of the pie but most of them struggled due to lack of on-ground presence in the vast and complex Indian market. After all, manufacturing was their core forte, not repair. This is where we stepped in. Our unique, integrated centralized repair business model enabled us to forge an API level connection with big brands. QarmaTek™ grew by leaps and bounds and today and has facilities located in Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Kolkata and Bengaluru. With one of the lowest industry TATs of 7 days, we ensure total process automation, transparency and reliability for clients as well as their customers.

We started in 2011…

    Serviced our first customers of power adaptors/ SMPS and set top boxes from our refurb area.

    Started L3, L4 repair capability with 12 BGA machines for L4 repairs

  • 2013

    Established admin and commercial services
    Developed in-house ERP named shERPa, installed across the organization
    Partnered with the world’s largest logistics company – FedEx

  • 2014

    Launched PAN India pickup and repair services for ‘The Mobile Store’ Entered the retail repair market with our own brand ‘Quik-E’ Wi-Fi enabled repair area with tablet based online data entry for repair activities Expanded our team to strengthen our repair capabilities

  • 2015

    Announced PickMi services for Xiaomi for PAN India pickup, repair and delivery services

  • 2016

                                   Launched 4 major repair hubs PAN India

  • 2017

                           Collaborated with AmTrust for OOW mobile repairs

  • 2018

    Launched Mobex, our brand for providing mobile phone repairs to end customers

  • 2019

                                   Expansion at new location – Pune and Jamnagar

  • 2020

                                   Launched Mobex.in, e-store for renewed phones
  • 2021

    Became Top Renewed Sellers in Amazon. Commenced Tata PLAY Fire Stick refurbishment. – Recognised as the Top Seller in Renewed Wireless Category carving an exemplary milestone. Onboarded one more TATA PLAY project by securing the TATA BINGE (Fire Stick) repairs and refurbishment programme.

    Raised Series A funding of $3mn. Joined hands with JIO for refurbishment of ONT & STB. – Secured a significant milestone by successfully completing the Series A funding round, raising $3 million to fuel our growth and innovation initiatives. Formed an Alliance with JIO for their repair and refurbishment of their ONT & STB vertical.

    Collaboration with Croma – Collaborated with India’s largest chain of Electronic Appliances, CROMA for RIPM (Return Inventory Process Management).

Meet the men changing the electronics repair industry forever. We’ve got industry veterans who know what works (or doesn’t!) and new age technology specialists who know what needs to change. These are the people who have repaired millions of mobile phones to date, converted millions of enraged customers into loyalists, and knocked logistics hassles out of the park.

Krunal Shah

Co-Founder & Director

With 18+ years of senior management experience in telecom & electronics, Krunal is directly responsible for end-to-end operations and business strategy of the Company. Krunal’s extensive experience in the electronics services sector is backed by robust educational background including Computers & People Management. He stands by his 4C’s when it comes to People Management – Coordination, Collaboration, Continuous improvement, and Calculation of risk. Krunal is also extremely passionate about giving back to the planet by slowing the rate of e-waste. He believes in doing his bit by reducing e-waste on this planet – one refurbished appliance at a time.

Arun Hattangadi

Co-Founder & Director

Arun brings 30+ years of senior management experience in electronic manufacturing and repair service businesses across India, Australia and the USA. He’s quite the scholar, with a B. Tech from IIT Delhi and an MBA from FMS Delhi, and focuses on systems, processes and business development. If you’re an early bird, you might bump into him when he’s out on a morning run – feel free to ask the black belt for some Karate tips.

Dhaval Vakta

Director

Applying everything he learned from an Advanced Diploma in Computer Applications with Oracle DBA Certification, Dhaval spearheads the IT and Quality programs at QarmaTek™. He brings in 14+ years of experience in the IT sector with 4 years of SAP implementation. His son is lucky enough to have a father who can clear all his doubts in mathematics. Give him a Rubik’s Cube and watch him solve it like a pro.

Kunal Naik

Director

Kunal comes with 16+ years of experience as a savvy entrepreneur, offering medical recruitment and documentation solutions and real time off-site video surveillance and monitoring. His KPO company- Technomine, where he is a co-founder serves clients in UK and USA. On the academic front, he comes with a degree in Business Management from Middlesex University, London.

Mitul Shah

COO

Mitul is a telecom industry veteran with a Physics Degree, Post Graduation in sales & Marketing and 25 years of experience in Mass market sales and distribution. Mitul’s plans and executions are on a large scale, having worked with GE Lighting, Vodafone, Tata Teleservices and Reliance in various parts of India, Nepal, and Uganda. He is a leader of the kind QarmaTek™ needs. His love for sports, music and rural India could leave you bewildered!
